One Search, Every Resort: Gurita's New Booking Widgets for Resort Groups and Liveaboards
Ask any operator with more than one property where they lose direct bookings, and the answer is rarely the price. It is the website. The guest who would happily stay at either of your two resorts has to search one, then the other, then compare in their head, and somewhere along the way an OTA tab looks easier. Gurita, our property-management system for dive resorts, liveaboards and dive centres, now ships two booking widgets built to close that gap.
One search across every property
The new multi-property widget asks a guest for dates, rooms and guests exactly once. What comes back is a list of your properties side by side: photos, a one-line tagline, the top room highlights, and an average nightly price with the total for the stay. Guests sort by your recommended order or by price, open a property, choose a room and a rate, add extras, and book, without ever leaving your website.
The details are where it earns its place. A property that cannot take the booking does not vanish from the list. It says why (sold out, minimum stay five nights, arrivals only on Saturdays) and offers the next three dates that would work. A price calendar shows the cheapest arrival of the month for the stay length the guest has in mind, so a guest with flexible dates finds the good week on their own. Every rate shows its terms up front: pay later, a deposit, or pay now, and whether it can be cancelled for free and until when.
Guests who change their mind halfway through can change the dates without losing what they already picked. Gurita re-prices the stay and only asks again for a room that is no longer free. Payment runs on your payment provider's own secure page, as a deposit, the full amount, or later from the link in the confirmation e-mail. And for the home page there is a compact search box that sends guests to the booking page with everything already filled in.
A liveaboard schedule that sells the trip
Liveaboards sell departures, not nights, and the second widget is built for exactly that. The new liveaboard schedule widget lists your upcoming trips with filters for month, route, departure port and trip length, and shows at a glance what a diver wants to know: is the departure guaranteed, how many places are left, what does it cost, is there an offer. One click opens the itinerary and every cabin category with its price, right in the list. An optional month strip shows the cheapest departure of each month above the list.
Booking takes four steps: trip, cabin, details, confirmation. Guests add one or more cabins and enter their travel party directly in the cabin, with the data you need from every guest: date of birth, nationality, certification level, passport number, each optional or required as you choose. Shared cabins for women or men only are handled correctly, and port and permit fees that are paid on board are shown clearly instead of surprising anyone at embarkation. Trips sold only as full charters get an enquiry button instead of a cabin picker.
Your brand, readable by design
Both widgets share a new appearance editor. Operators start from a preset (light, dark luxury, warm, sharp or soft) and adjust colours, corners, button shapes, density and fonts, with a live preview for desktop and mobile. You only pick base colours. Gurita derives the rest and keeps every text readable to the WCAG AA accessibility standard. If a pale brand colour would make white button text hard to read, the widget quietly uses a darker shade and the editor explains what it changed.
Both widgets are available now for Gurita customers, alongside the existing designs. Existing liveaboard widgets can be switched without being set up again. Product details and the full changelog are on the Gurita blog, and you can explore the product at gurita.app.
